Lisa Graves from Court Accountability Action and Geoff Dembicki of DeSmog discuss the claims made by ExxonMobil and Suncor in the case the Roberts Court heard this week. They dive into how ExxonMobil knew--since at least the 1970s--that burning its products was causing changes to earth's climate and how they are their allies are trying to block any finding of liability for misleading the public. They also dive into how the claims that the Clean Air Act preempts this state litigation for damages is way off base since Boulder is not trying to regulate the industry but to get compensation for injuries.
